She is survived by her daughter, Susan Champe Walter and husband, Eugene of Los Alamos, NM; sons, Andrew B. Champe and wife, Debbie of Tucson, AZ and Chris Champe of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Ryan Walter, Lori Champe, David Champe, and Lisa Champe; brothers, Jack Walker and wife, Jean of St.

Petersburg, FL and Russell Anderson and wife, Janet of Jacksonville, FL; sister, Beulah Amole of St. Petersburg, FL; and sisters-in-law, Willa Slack and Pauline Lily of Huntington, WV; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Champe on January 17, 1992; and son, Charles Randell Champe on June 13, 1991. Mrs.

Champe was born and raised in West Virginia. She was married on April 9, 1944 in Deland, FL to Charles E. Champe. She was a loving wife and mother. Her family was her greatest joy.

Mrs. Champe was a charter member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church and a member of the Christian Women's Club. She enjoyed doing volunteer work at schools and hospitals until her health failed. Services will be held Sunday, December 31, 2000, 2:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd.

Cooper, 82, a resident of Albuquerque since 1945, died Friday, December 22, 2000. He is survived by his daughter, Beverly Herman and husband, George grandchildren, George Joseph Herman, James Edward Herman, Valerie Kristine Herman, all of Tucson, AZ and John Steven Herman of Cherry Point, NC; and great-granddaughter, Amorette Flores of Tucson, AZ. Mr. Cooper was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Vera. Joe belonged to V.F.W.

ELTER-Mary Louise Elter, 66, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, NM, died Thursday, December 28, 2000. She is survived by her husband of 47 years, Bill Elter of the family home; daughters, Judy Elter of Albuquerque, NM and Dorothy Lewis and husband, Lou of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Brandy Erven and Nicholas Elter both of Albuquerque, NM; great grandchildren, Ramon Jaramillo and Jacob Roberts both of Albuquerque, NM; mother, Dolores Sesma of Albuquerque, NM; and sisters, Martha George, Betty Mitchell and Dante Sesma all of Albuquerque, NM.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Paul W. Forsythe, and by her sisters, Flora Smith of Carlsbad, New Mexico, Ruby Jamison of King City, Missouri, Lois Washburn of King City, Missouri, and her brother, Fred T. Howe of King City, Missouri. She is survived by her brother, Samuel Howe, of King City, Missouri; in-laws, Mrs. Ralph Forsythe and Mrs.

Harold Kindschi; and several nieces and nephews including Joe W. Smith, of El Paso, Texas, and Dr. Charley R. Smith, of Hobbs, New Mexico; and nine Godchildren. She attended college at Maryville, Missouri and the Texas School of Mines (UTEP), She and her husband enjoyed traveling and made trips to sixty-nine countries, many of which were in pursuit of their interests in religious art of other cultures.

Mrs. Forsythe was a member of First Presbyterian Church, New Mexico Bead Society, Albuquerque Country Club, Genealogy Club of Albuquerque, Charles DeBrell Chapter of D.A.R., Colonial Dames of XVII Century, Colonial Dames of America, and Huguenot Society, and Albuquerque Historical Society. Betty was born June: 2, 1946, the daughter of Warren and Eloise Sasnett. She loved children, horses, her home and her family. Gutierrez died Thursday in Albuquerque at the age of 73. Mrs. Gutierrez was a member of the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. MCKINNON -Katherine Dowiatt McKinnon, 89, a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2000 after a long illness.
