Go-karts with a higher cc rating mix more air with gasoline and operate at higher speeds. A 50 cc kart can travel up to 35 mph, whereas a 125 cc kart can reach 70 to 80 mph.
The RPS Raider 200cc Four Seater Go Kart boasts impressive speed potential, reaching speeds of 40+ MPH. However, for new users or those seeking a more controlled ride, it comes equipped with a speed limiting governor that allows for a comfortable cruising speed of 10 MPH.
While drift karts typically range in speed from 2 mph to 14 mph, other types of go-karts can reach higher speeds. For instance, a 125cc go-kart can reach up to 60 mph, and a 400cc go-kart can go as fast as 80 mph.
Both 125cc scooters and motorbikes max out at 60mph, which is double the top speed of a 50cc. This makes them a much more suitable choice if you plan to do longer journeys, or are travelling on A roads. Whereas a 50cc makes a good choice for city riding, 125cc scooters are better for suburban/country riding.
